Our teacher wants us to use Visual Studio, which I have downloaded for Mac. We were told to create a project using visual basic. I followed the instructor and attempted to do what he did. I open Visual Studio, create a new project, select the code to be VB (not C# or anything else) and prepare to start coding.

As developers, many of you will be accustomed to using the keyboard for your tasks and navigation. Some keys on the keyboard are common between Macs and Windows PCs. You could be forgiven for thinking that keyboard actions such as copy and paste use the same key combinations. This is not always the case. Fortunately, you can change your key bindings in Visual Studio for Mac to closely match those of Visual Studio in Windows.
The free version of Teams includes the following: Unlimited chat messages and search. Built-in online meetings, audio and video calling for individuals, groups, and full team meetups. Use.NET Core with Visual Studio to create APIs and serverless workflows that can respond to user events and reach global audiences at the push of a button. Integrate machine learning capabilities and add bots for a more immersive user experience, all built with.NET and Visual Studio for Mac.
The first time you run Visual Studio for Mac you'll see the keyboard shortcuts selection window:
If you want to change the key bindings later, you can find the setting in the preferences:
It's important to note that macOS uses different system-wide shortcuts to Windows. Changing the key binding preferences will allow you to use familiar Windows shortcuts in Visual Studio for Mac. However, in other areas of macOS you'll need to be familiar with macOS shortcuts.
